Hello, Ava J’zs foodies! Today, we are going to be preparing my Turkey Stuffed Peppers.

INGREDIENTS
  • 6 – 7 large bell peppers (red, yellow, and orange)
  • 3 lbs ground turkey

  • 1 large onion, diced

  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese

  • 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese

  • 2 jars of pasta sauce

  • 1 – 2 cups of rice, cooked

  • ½ cup of water

  • Salt

  • Seasoning blend of choice

GUIDE / INSTRUCTIONS
  • Preheat the oven to 400°.

  • Season the ground turkey if desired.

  • Cook turkey and diced onions together in a skillet until done.

  • Mix in the cooked rice and 1 1/2 jars of pasta sauce.

  • On low-medium heat, simmer the mixture for 20 minutes.

  • Stir in mozzarella cheese until melted.

  • Clean and half your bell peppers.

  • Spray a pan with canola oil and add your pepper halves.

  • Sprinkle salt onto your pepper halves.

  • Bake for twenty minutes.

  • Take your peppers out of the oven.

  • Fill pepper halves with meat mixture and top with sharp cheddar cheese.

  • Add water and the remaining pasta sauce to the pan.

  • Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
